January 21, 1873: Day 19 of our journey. With little fear that the Griggs Gang would return, and with the heat holding off, we made excellent progress. Only a stampede which crossed our path late in the evening detained us. I am determined to bypass Lonerock altogether, and make straight for Thompson.
